| Thank you for scheduling
your trip to Jacobs’ Family Orchard. Here is some information
to help make your visit enjoyable as well as educational.
For Small Groups (5 to 20) All children will
be together for the tour and play time.
For a Large Group (20 to 40) we will split into
2 smaller groups to help make the tour go better
Two Stations: (groups trade places following the tour)
Station 1: Educational tour of orchard,
apple processing area, cider room, orchard store, and donut making.
Following tour, a donut and cider slush for each child
Station 2: Free time to play in all areas; straw
pyramid, corn maze, inflatable farm train and haunted house, and
feed goats.
For an Extra Large Group (over 40) split into 3 groups
Station 1: tour of the orchard
Station 2: free time to play
Station 3: story time (we have some books with
an apple theme to read to the students)
Price
includes:
- Educational
tour of orchard, apple processing area, cider room, orchard
store and donut making.
- Donut
and cider slush for each child
- Take
home bag with apples and picture to color
- Free
time to play in all areas: straw pyramid, corn maze, inflatable
farm train and haunted house, and feed goats.
- Picnic
area with tables
- For
an additional $1.00 kids can pick a small pumpkin from the
patch.
Instructions
for the inflatable farm train and haunted house.
- There are two doorways
into each. Those doors need to kept closed or they will deflate.
An adult at each will make sure this does not happen.
- Children are not
to unzip the emergency exits or they will deflate.
- For young children
sometimes the air coming out the doors does bother them, an
adult can accompany the children.
- The haunted house
is not scary, more a maze. An adult can accompany the children
if you think they may be scared.
